  1. I don’t blame you at all for feeling offended. Even if I weren’t a parent with gobs of art supplies on hand in the middle of a creative journey I’d *still* bristle at the implication that I didn’t have pencil crayons! To me, I’d feel like they were accusing me of being a neglectful parent. “Do you want to bring some toys over, too? We haven’t gotten around to buying any of those either.”
As for the Pajama Day, I think it’s a great idea. In fact, it’s sort of what my friend Beth and I have been doing all week so I can say first hand that art in pajamas with friends is a sublime treat in this world.

  2. Alright. I did it. And it’s YOUR fault! Today- I bought myself watercolor pencils….brushes, paints…paper…. I have “issues” with drawing and writing–(like Ive NEVER been able to do it;) But you know- There are somethings I’d like to TRY to paint.. whats the worst that can happen? It’s just paper. I can’t wreck the world by trying….besides- there are no teachers hanging over me with grades to be given… so- That pic of lilacs..the one I wished I could paint? I’m gonna give it a shot!
    Thnx;) ts
Go for it, Tracey! I’m excited for you – and can’t wait to see what you create with paint/pencils. Already, I love what you do with your camera. Just think of it as an extension!

  3. I really liked the final song, by the way. It actually falls in line with a lot of the Taoist stuff I’ve been reading – be in the moment, don’t label things and load them with expectations, just be aware of what they are and take joy from that.
