  1. Amy thanks for the thoughts on making time and being gentle on ourselves. This is my favorite podcast of yours so far. I really needed to hear this message.
I am struggling to not do too much, yet to find time for my own fun things, my own creative pursuits.
This week we restarted homeschooling. So for me this is a stressful time of the year, new goals, new challenges, a new schedule.
This year more than ever I want some “me time”.
I used to also be guilty of thinking that creativity only meant certain things. Two weeks ago I got up my courage and tried to make fudge for the first time in years. I had failed in the past and felt I could never do it. Not only did I adapt the recipe to make up my own recipe but I made it and it turned out fantastic. I consider that a creative endeavor for that day, and a success to boot.
    Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Amy, this was my favorite episode. I think I left a comment yesterday saying so.
I write now because I just blogged (see above URL), actually on both of my blogs, about how upset I am tonight. Due to an overly busy summer I pushed off going to see an art exhibit (temporary) of one of my favorite artists, Joesph Cornell. I thought it went through October. I decided to go tomorrow.
Well the exhibit ended three weeks ago. I am so disappointed.
I should have made the time for myself earlier in the summer and just done it for myself, instead of planning all summer activities around the kids and having fun with the kids.
Well the exhibit is on its way to San Fran so if you are at all interested in Joseph Cornell’s work, it is headed your way. If you go, think of me and enjoy the exhibit!!
Thanks again for the inspiration to carve out time to do the things we want to do, to find the time, even if that means staying up late or waking up early.
    Have a great weekend!

  3. Amy,
I love your podcast and have been listening for a while now. I thought it was about time I left a comment!
I adored this episode and it has to be my most favourite. I felt as though a friend was telling me it’s okay to be gentle and ease up. Be gentle.
Thank you! I felt so chilled and at ease with myself after listening.
You speak with glorious colour which flows and is wonderful to my listening ear.
    Thanks again Amy!
