Episode 227 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast

In this episode of the CMP, musings on life balance and creative time and energy, plus a look at a book on Horace Pippin, written by Jen Bryant and illustrated by Melissa Sweet.

I held this episode for a while after recording because it felt awkward. At the time, I was caught up in these shifting circles. I figured many of you would listen and jump to different conclusions about what these circles are. Ultimately, nothing changed.  The circle that had flared into the realm of possibility flickered out.

Thinking about circles and balance of time and energy, however, is timeless.

The Flow of Episode 227 (and relevant links):

“The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another; and his humblest hour is when he compares the volume as it is with what he vowed to make it.” – J.M. Barrie

The Creativity Matters Podcast is an affiliate. Links are provided for convenience to help you find/see/explore the books, tools, and resources I talk about. Using the library, when possible, is always my first recommendation for reviewing books firsthand.

  1. The vague thoughts/feelings that start nudging us often end up being part or a start of a major work. Just let the feelings flow back over you. I think your metaphors in this episode are very apt.
