Episode 370: Nature Guide
A glimpse of the books discussed in this show (with Inktober 2019 drawings in the background).

Episode 370 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast — Two books with nature drawing themes

In this episode of the CMP, a flat tire, some Inktober talk, the unexpected incorporation of Microns, and two books from the “nature drawing” space: Nature Anatomy and Botanical Line Drawing. Nature Anatomy is a wonderful fully-illustrated science primer of sorts with a flat color style that is fresh and accessible (and very different than the kinds of “nature journaling” books I’ve talked about in the past). Botanical Line Drawing is a reference and workbook-style collection of flower-themed line-drawings, each broken down into 5 additive steps.

Note: links provided to books, tools, and other resources on the Creativity Matters Podcast website may be affiliate links for which the podcast would make a (very) small amount of money if the item was purchased. The Creativity Matters Podcast is an affiliate. Links are provided for convenience to help you find/see/explore the books, tools, and resources I talk about. Using the library, when possible, is always my first recommendation for reviewing books firsthand.
