Episode 450 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast — a number of questions and musings on how things are going, plus, how a running log of “things” to sift later helps when you sit down to work in a sketchbook or illustrated journal
This episode has a number of threads, questions, and minor updates. In the long gap between shows, my son returned to college and my mom visited and left. Snapping photos of things seen or encountered day to day creates a pile of fodder you can use in your illustrated journal. It’s a wonderful way to give yourself a pool of possibilities…. things to “sift” through when you sit down to draw, record, document, illustrate, sketchnote your day, or do #illustrateyourweek prompts.
Randoms
- I am finally (finally!) moving through the second sub-series in the book series I’ve been reading and should be starting book 6 in the next day or so.
- I watched All American in recent weeks and loved it. I also watched Poms with Diane Keaton – and a few weeks before that, I saw Something’s Gotta Give and Hampstead. (I love her!)
- I took the A3 to the beach the day we went to sit and read. I just had to give it a try.
- The video I mentioned about not washing your jeans can be found here.
- I posted a flip-through of the third in a series of illustrated journals. You can view it here.
